UI closes health centre after patient tests positive for COVID-19

The University of Ibadan has closed down its Health Centre (Jaja Clinic) after  admitting a patient, who eventually  tested positive for COVID-19

The Director of Public Communication, University of Ibadan, Mr Olatunji Oladejo, who said the health centre had been decontaminated and shut down.

He said this followed the recommendation of the Oyo State Emergency Operations Centre.

Oladejo said the closure would last for seven days but added that reopening of the place would be subjected to the review by the EOC.

Oladejo explained that the patient was first seen on December 10 and was admitted at the clinic on December 13/14.
